During the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse this year,the ancient town of Cicheng in Ningbo was adorned with colorful lanterns as the"Star of Cicheng·Fortune Welcomes Spring"Lantern Festival made a splendid appearance.Tens of thousands of lanterns lit up along the kilometer-long ancient city walls,transforming this millennium-old town into a dazzling spectacle and offering citizens and visitors a cultural feast brimming with traditional New Year flavor.

Cicheng is one of the best-preserved ancient counties in southern China,renowned as the"First Ancient County in Jiangnan,"boasting profound historical and cultural heritage.This year's lantern festival pioneered a"city wall lantern show"model,turning the kilometer-long ancient walls into a flowing river of light.It was deeply integrated with the popular cultural tourism IP"Go Cicheng Fair."From New Year's Eve to the Lantern Festival,dragon dance teams paraded through the streets,intangible cultural heritage markets saw artisans demonstrating traditional crafts,and traditional Chinese style performances took turns on ancient stages.These cultural activities,running day and night,not only carried forward a cultural legacy of a thousand years but also embodied people's best wishes for favorable weather and national prosperity in the new year.

To comprehensively ensure an uninterrupted power supply for this grand folk event spanning the entire Spring Festival holiday,State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company coordinated closely with Cicheng Town Government and cultural tourism organizers months in advance.Given the unique characteristics of the ancient architectural complex and the complexity of the lantern group layout,the power support team developed a meticulously tailored power protection plan.They deployed drones equipped with infrared thermal imaging technology to conduct comprehensive,detailed inspections of lines spanning ancient buildings and complex terrain,leaving no blind spots.Throughout the lantern festival,power protection personnel remained on duty around key distribution boxes,transformers,and temporary power points,performing continuous temperature checks and safety inspections to ensure every lantern illuminated the ancient city's night sky steadily and safely.With their responsibility and dedication,they added a warm and reliable touch to the centuries-old Spring Festival traditions.
